(SBU) Per reftel instruction, on 15 February DepPolCouns
informed DFA Deputy Director: Nuclear Disarmament and
Non-Proliferation Michiel Combrink of USG acceptance of the
DRC invitation and USUNVIE's intent to organize a meeting of
representatives of concerned governments and IAEA officials
in Vienna the week of February 25th. Combrink pledged to
pass the information on to South African IAEA Governor Abdul
Minty, who is currently on official travel. Combrink expects
that Minty will wish to attend the meeting and anticipates he
will work directly with the South African and U.S. Missions
in Vienna on scheduling.
