Kuchynova-Smigolova, the Czech MFA's Director for Security
Policy, and her deputy, Petr Chalupecky, on December 19.
Kuchynova-Smigolova and Chalupecky were skeptical that any
progress could be made with the Russians on CFE. Political
officer delivered reftel B demarche to Petr Chalupecky on
December 31. He appreciated receiving the official readout,
but was not surprised that the Fried-Antonov meetings did not
yield significant results.
