(SBU) Political Military Officer delivered the reftel points
regarding Czech support for the consensus on the text agreed
ad referendum at the conclusion of the November 19-20 meeting
of the NSG Consultative Group in Vienna on December 11 to Mr.
David Maseck, the MFA's Deputy Director for
Non-Proliferation. Maseck said that he did not foresee any
issues that would preclude Czech support for the consensus,
but that the Nuclear Safety Office could still have some
additional questions. He indicated that the Czechs might ask
for a one-week extension to resolve these internal issues. He
offered to check with his colleagues and provide us with an
update as soon as possible.
