Per reftel, the Embassy asked the Director of the Czech
Ministry of Foreign Affair's Security Policy Department about
the possibility of the Czechs providing support for the NATO
Iraq training mission. She replied that the Czechs are not
planning to increase their commitment in Iraq beyond their 20
soldiers currently serving as instructors for the Iraqi armor
corps. She added that the Czech's priority for 2009 is
Afghanistan, where they already have 400 troops in their
Logar PRT and other deployments.
