(SBU) Econoff demarched Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT)
EU Department Director Lucie Sestakova April 25 on the USG
decision to keep the Czech Republic on the Special 301 Watch
List. She was not surprised by the news, and acknowledged
that the Czechs had not made any drastic improvements to the
IPR situation at the border markets since the Czech Republic
was elevated to the Watch List in January. Post will meet
with Sestakova to ask for her strategy on the current Czech
action plan, including devloping a concrete timeline as well
as considering additional U.S. IPR action plan suggestions.
