(S) On April 2, per reftel, the Embassy's Pol-Mil Officer met
with Mr. David Maseck, an official in the Czech Ministry of
Foreign Affairs' Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Unit,
regarding the possible involvement of a Czech company in sale
of yellowcake uranium to Iran. Maseck had no direct
information, but he understood our concern. He said he would
pass the information to his colleagues in other Czech
government agencies. He promised to provide the Embassy with
any information he received. Post will follow up with the MFA
during the week of April 28 regarding this case.
