Poloff presented reftel points to MFA Judicial Affairs
Director Fortune Dorlean May 5. Polcouns reiterated them to
MFA Director of Political Affairs Jacques Renand Cherduville
May 7. Dorlean said that Haiti in principle had ''no
objection'' to the declaration. Cherduville was less
committal, saying he would pass the matter to Minister of
Foreign Affairs Clerisme, and that it might go up to
President Preval to decide whether Haiti would sign the
declaration.
