1. (SBU) PolCouns previewed reftel agenda items for the
September 24 Haiti Key Players Meeting in New York with the
President's Chief of Staff, Fritz Longchamp, September 18.
Longchamp said that President Rene Preval would attend the
meeting accompanied by Foreign Minister Alrich Nicolas. The
President's interpreter, Mrs. Guerda Romain Chatelain, will
also accompany the President if no French translation is
provided.
2. (SBU) Longchamp said that the highest priority agenda item
for President Preval would be post-hurricane reconstruction.
