¶1. (S//NF) RSO Peshawar is requesting immediate deployment of a
Security Support Team (SST) from DS/T/MSD and immediate
deployment of additional conventional TDY RSO support in
response to the significantly elevated recent attacks and
specific threat reporting targeting Consulate personnel in
Peshawar. The RSO resources currently in place are inadequate to
counter the threats posed to Post personnel during this
critical threat climate. The requested DS assets will augment
protective security operations, reactionary force, emergency
action planning and extensive security/investigative
responsibilities that is currently taxing RSO Peshawar .
