(C) MFA Zimbabwe Desk Officer Isabelle de Boisgelen said on
June 12 that France would almost certainly support a formal
UNSC meeting on Zimbabwe during the June 19-27 timeframe
proposed reftel. Boisgelen said that she would consult with
other interested GOF offices but she expressed little doubt
that Fance would agree to such a meeting, given all of the
recent egregious behavior carried out on behalf of Zimbabwe's
ruling elite. Boisgelen said she would inform us forthwith
should France choose a different course of action, which she
thought unlikely.
