1. (SBU) On December 2, PolEcon Chief delivered the demarche
to Chantal Elsenhout, Acting Head of the International
Organizations Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Government of the Republic of Suriname (GOS). Elsenhout
noted the importance of the resolution, which Suriname had
supported, and said she understood the importance of the
resolution and that she expected the GOS to continue to
support it at the UNGA.
2. (U) Post will report any subsequent responses in a
separate cable.
