1. (U) Per reftel, PolOff delivered the demarche to
Juliette Redman, acting head of the International
Organizations Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Government of Suriname (GOS),on September 18, 2008.
2, (U) Redman did not have any initial reaction. She said
she would study the document and send it to the Director of
Foreign Affairs (the Minister's deputy) and to the Permanent
Representative in New York. She said she did not think
Minister of Foreign of Affairs Lygia Kraag-Keteldijk would
attend the September 26 meeting, as she will be returning to
Suriname that day. Redman said she thought that the
Permanent Representative might attend.
2. (U) Post will report any reaction from the GOS.
