¶1. (SBU) Canada is "broadly" supportive of the U.S. position
outlined in reftel, according to Department of Foreign
Affairs and International Trade international organization
policy advisor Bronwyn May. May promised a more detailed
response on December 19. May emphasized that Canada does
attach importance to the harmonization issue and the need to
address it during the current UN General Assembly session.
