(S) We discussed reftel with Kredit Tilsynet, the Financial
Supervisory Authority of Norway. They were aware of the FATF
statements, but said that the Ministry of Finance (MoF) was
the key agency to determine how to implement the guidance.
On November 10, P/E Counselor spoke to State Secretary Ole
Morten Geving (MoF) who was not aware of the FATF statements,
but promised to look into it and coordinate with the Ministry
of Justice on Norway's approach to this issue. As additional
information becomes available, we will update this report.
