Per reftel, POLOFF demarched First Secretary Marios
Kountourides, Department of Multilateral Affairs, Cypriot MFA
on April 10 regarding the implementation of the dual use item
provision of UN Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1803.
Kountourides said that Cyprus agrees that the resolution must
be applied in its entirety and that there is no "pick and
choose." He stated that Cyprus will be vigilant and apply
the resolution, and confirmed that the dual use list
maintained by the Nuclear Suppliers Group is incorporated
into the Cypriot government's control system.
