(U) On August 19, Econoff delivered demarche (reftel) on U.S.
domestic designation of five Iranian entities due to
proliferation concerns to the GOI, including Ministry of
External Affairs (MEA) Deputy Secretary (Counterterrorism)
Alok Dimri and Ministry of Finance (MOF) Director Anand
Bajaj. Post will continue to urge India to take similar
actions like the U.S. to freeze assets of these entities and
will follow up with the GOI for additional identifying and
background information on these entities.
