1. Unauthorized disclosure of the information provided below is
prohibited by Section 12(c) of the Export Administration Act.


2. On August 12, 2008, Export Control Officer (ECO) Paul Cushman and
BIS FSN Shailendra Srivastava conducted a Post-Shipment Verification
(PSV) at Trident Infosol Private Limited (TRIDENT) in New Delhi.


3. BIS requested a PSV at TRIDENT, located at Nehru Place. TRIDENT
was listed as the intermediate consignee for electronic components
manufactured by Acromag Inc. of Wixom, Michigan. The end-user was
the Institute of Plasma Research (IPR),a Government of India
entity. Export License: No License Required. Two satisfactory
PSV's were conducted at IPR in 2007.


4. ECO and FSN Srivastava met with Mr. Nitin Gupta, Director, in
TRIDENT's conference room.


5. Gupta was familiar with BIS regulations but this was the first
visit by BIS officials to his facility. He provided copies of the
following documents relating to this transaction: Acromag Invoice,
TRIDENT Purchase Order, Acromag Packing List, TRIDENT Price Bid, IPR
Purchase Order, IPR End-Use Certificate, TRIDENT Invoice, a receipt
for duties paid to the Indian Customs Authority, and the TRIDENT
Delivery Challan.


6. Gupta explained that this importation was made on behalf of GOI's
Institute of Plasma Research. After receipt of the consignment,
Gupta stated that his engineers installed the equipment at the IPR
facility in Ahmedabad and then trained the IPR staff on its use.


7. Established in 1991, TRIDENT is a system integration and product
distribution company. TRIDENT serves as the Indian distributor for
numerous U.S. companies. Approximately 90% of TRIDENT's business
comes from GOI agencies, primarily the aerospace and defense
communities.


8. Recommendation: Based upon a review of documents and information
provided by Trident Infosol Private Limited, it appears that this
controlled technology was imported by a legitimate end-user and used
in a manner consistent with the Export Administration Regulations.
However, because a physical inspection of the items could not be
performed, this Post-Shipment Verification remains inconclusive.
