(S/NF) Summary: Post has been informed that the articles listed on this application have not been exported to Chad. End Summary ¶2. (S/NF) In answer to questions posed by the Department in ref b, post has been unable to determine if the Chadian MOD has ever/ever received any U.S.- origin optical sights for the 106mm recoilless gun. However, Emboffs understand that the Chadian MOD has ordered the 50 optical sights listed in application 050078642 and has ordered them from A.D. Consultants which they recognize as an official supplier/contractor. ¶3. (S/NF) Emboffs spoke with both the Chadian Ministry of Defense (MOD) officials and a local representative for the Israeli company (Mr. George Korda) to inquire about the M92D elbow sight request. DATT was shown an email from Mr. Bob Spillan (project manager for Seiler Instruments) to Korda explaining that there had been a delay in receiving the necessary authorization from the USG to ship the equipment but USG approval is expected in mid- April. ¶4. (S/NF) According to Korda and MOD officials, the articles listed on the application have not yet been exported to Chad. Post understands that the MOD still intends to purchase the items. NIGRO
