¶1. (U) PolOff delivered reftel demarche points November 4 on
the U.S. candidacy for the Executive Committee of the
Inter-American Commission of Women (CIM) to Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Under Secretary, International Relations
Division, Marilyn Zonicle. Ms. Zonicle had previously
informed Post that The Bahamas would also put forward its
candidacy and seek U.S. support. PolOff reassured her that
this was an uncontested election.
