1. The Chief of Mission regularly meets with a wide range of
Somali businessmen and activists resident in Nairobi to urge
them to join Somalia's reconciliation process and to advance
human rights and democracy. The Chief of Mission also
regularly meets with Somali media resident in Nairobi for
public diplomacy purposes, urging that democratic standards
and human rights be upheld.
2. Post's efforts to reach out to Kenyan democracy and human
rights activists are detailed in Post's Advancing Freedom and
Democracy Report.
