diplomatic note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pol-Econ
Chief also raised the subject with Mohammed al-Hassan,
Political Affairs Director for Minister Responsible for
Foreign Affairs Yusef bin Alawi. Based on the Sultanate's
negative response to similar past demarches, strong
opposition to perceived Israeli injustices against the
Palestinian people, and predilection for following Arab
League consensus, it is unlikely that Oman will alter its
entrenched voting record on these types of resolutions.
