to Mohammed al-Hassan, Director of Political Affairs for
Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusef bin Alawi.
Reflecting his boss's current pessimism on the subject (ref
B),Al-Hassan questioned whether there was genuine forward
movement on resolving the Israeli-Palestinian crisis, at one
point asking (rhetorically),"Is there even a peace process
any more?" He nevertheless stated that he would share our
points with Minister bin Alawi, whom he will accompany to
Cairo for the Arab League Ministerial.
