Secretary General Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi, during an August 27
meeting to discuss the Russia-Georgia conflict (septel).
Pol-Econ Chief stressed that the prospect of an International
Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion on Kosovo's
independence had negative implications even for countries
like Oman that had not yet recognized Kosovo and had no
specific interests in the Balkans. Al-Maani replied that to
his knowledge, Oman had not taken any decision on how it
might approach such a resolution and would keep our points
under advisement.
