Pol-Econ Chief delivered reftel papers to Abdullah al-Riyami,
Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on April 27 and discussed
U.S. goals for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)
Preparatory Committee Meeting. (Note: Oman observes a
Thursday - Friday weekend. End Note.) Al-Riyami had no
substantive comment, but said that he would immediately pass
the papers to the Omani diplomatic mission in Geneva, which
would represent Oman at the meeting.
