Importadora Mocambicana de Petroleos (IMOPETRO),acting under the terms of the Decree n. 63/2006 dated December 26, 2006 as the procurement agent for the oil distributing companies in Mozambique, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of approximately 18,000 metric tons of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). Bidding shall be conducted according to the international competitive public bidding procedures similar to those specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under BIRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the referred guidelines. ¶8. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from IMOPETRO's office address provided in ITEM 6B. A complete set of bidding documents, in English, may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of an application and upon payment of a non refundable fee of USD 1,000. Bid documents to bidders having no representative offices in Mozambique will be sent by express mail, for which an additional amount of USD 100 shall be paid. In case of dispatching by mail or any other mode, IMOPETRO cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of the documents by the bidder. ¶9. Bids must be delivered to the above mentioned address at or before 10:00 hours (local time) on September 26, 2008. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of USD 100,000. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened at 10:15 hours on September 26, 2008 at IMOPETRO's office in the presence of the bidder's representatives who choose to attend. ¶10.
