The Ministry of Planning and Development (MPD) on behalf of Government of Mozambique and The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC),on behalf of the United States Government, has entered into Compact to be implemented during 5 years. The objective of the proposed program is to reduce poverty through economic growth in Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Zambezia by focusing on physical assets investments, policy reform, capacity building and institutional strengthening. The program contains four projects: (i) the Water Supply and Sanitation Project (WSSP),(ii) the Roads Project, (iii) the Land Tenure Services Project, and (iv)the Farmer Income Support Project. Implementing entities for the various projects will include government ministries and agencies, NGOQs, private companies, or other entities. ¶8. This Invitation for Proposals follows the General Procurement Notice that appeared in dgMarket on July 29, 2008: UNDB Online on August 5, 2008 and Jornal Noticias on August 1, 2008. The MCA-Mocambique now invites Consultant Firms to provide the following consultancy services: REF Nr.: QCBS-MCA-MOZ-RR01-08-30 Closing Date: January 14, 2009 Q 10:00 (local time) Feasibility study, environmental and social impact assessment, design and supervision of works in Namialo- Metoro (222 km) Ref Nr.: QCBS-MCA-MOZ-RR02-08-31 Closing Date: December 16, 2008 Q 10:00 (local time) Feasibility study, environmental and social impact assessment, design and supervision of works in Nampula- Rio Ligonha (102 km) Ref Nr.: QCBS-MCA-MOZ-RR03-08-33 Closing Date: December 16, 2008 Q 11:00 (local time) Feasibility study, environmental and social impact assessment, design and supervision of works in Nicoadala Q Chimuara (167 km) The scope of work for these consultancies are described in detail in the Terms of Reference for each consultancy (by Lot) and bidders may submit proposals for one or more Lots, separately. The evaluation will be completed on a Lot basis in accordance with the method QCBS (Quality and Cost Based Selection).
