The Ministry of Planning and Development (MPD) on behalf of Government of Mozambique and The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC),on behalf of the United States Government, has entered into Compact to be implemented during 5 years. The objective of the proposed program is to reduce poverty through economic growth in Niassa, Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Zambezia by focusing on physical assets investments, policy reform, capacity building and institutional strengthening. The program contains four projects: (i) the Water Supply and Sanitation Project (WSSP),(ii) the Roads Project, (iii) the Land Tenure Services Project, and (iv)the Farmer Income Support Project. Implementing entities for the various projects will include government ministries and agencies, NGOQs, private companies, or other entities. ¶8.
