1. (U) EMBASSY Manama has completed a local files check and
concurs with ref proposal to award the Legion of Merit to the
Commander of the Royal Bahrain Navy, Brigadier General
Abdullah Saeed Al-Mansoori, in recognition of the Bahraini
Navy,s role as a leader in integration with NAVCENT
coalition operations.
2. (U) Post understands that the CNO, Admiral Roughead, has
expressed interest in presenting the decoration to BG
Al-Mansoori in Washington D.C. during a counterpart visit on
10 December 2008.
