(C) On August 11, Political section chief briefed the MFA's
acting political director on the USG's serious concerns about
the developments in Georgia and its intention to press for a
strong statement condemning Russia's actions during the
upcoming session of the NAC. The MFA official said that his
government was also concerned about the crisis in Georgia and
promised to pass the USG points to the GoL delegation at
NATO. Post will remain engaged with the MFA and will report
any additional developments.
