(SBU) Poloff delivered the reftel talking points to the
Zambian Foreign Ministry, commending the Zambian Goverment
for its firm position -- as a member of the African Union
Peace and Security Council (PSC) -- against the military
junta in Mauritania and emphasizing the need for continued
pressure on the junta. The Foreign Ministry officials were
grateful for the encouragement and promised to take these
points into consideration in advance of the December 22nd PSC
meeting.
