The UK will not issue its own bilateral statement in London or at the UN regarding the U.S.-EU Prisoners of Conscience Declaration (ref),according to Sharon Moore of the FCO's UN Office. In line with UK policy, as the Declaration is a EU initiative, the EU will release a statement on behalf of all EU Members and the UK will not issue its own national statement or press text. UKUN and the Foreign Office will provide the EU statement in response to any public and media inquires on the Declaration.
