RESOLUTIONS WITH ANTI-ISRAEL BIAS

On November 21, emboff met with Eliska Kersnic, advisor in
the MFA's UN division, and Anja Mezeg, desk officer in the
MFA's North Africa and Middle East division, to encourage
Slovenian opposition to UNGA resolutions with anti-Israel
bias (reftel). Kersnic noted that Slovenia had abstained on
these resolutions in 2007, and she confirmed that Slovenia
would abstain on the resolutions regarding the Committee on
the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian
People (62/80) and the Division for Palestinian Rights of the
Secretariat (62/81). She undertook to discuss the other
resolutions with Slovenia's UN mission.
