(SBU) On October 8, emboff met with Mateja Kracun, First
Secretary in the NATO section of the MFA's Security Policy
Division, to encourage Slovenia's support for U.S. positions
in the UNGA First Committee (reftel). Kracun acknowledged
that Slovenia had not voted with the U.S. on these issues in
2007 (Slovenia abstained),but she did not know what position
Slovenia would take on the resolutions this year. She
undertook to pass the information to Slovenia's mission in
New York.
