1. (C) On August 11, Emboffs met with Marko Purkart, acting
head of the MFA's Security Division, to brief him and urge
Slovenia's support for a strong NAC statement condemning
Russian actions in Georgia. Purkart took our points under
consideration and undertook to pass them to Slovenia's
Mission to NATO and to the Foreign Minister. He was more
focused on the extraordinary GAERC on August 13, when
French FM Kouchner will report on his meetings in Tbilisi
and Moscow.
