(C) On July 31, Emboff met with Maja Balant Canadi, First
Secretary for the MFA's Division for South-Eastern Europe,
to encourage the Government of Slovenia (GOS) to remain
committed to Turkey's accession to the EU regardless of the
outcome of the case against the Justice and Development
Party (AKP). Canadi commented that the GOS is very
relieved with the outcome of the AKP case, and that the GOS
supports Turkey's accession to the EU and is focused on the
process as important.
