(S) On January 17, Emboff met with the Slovenian Ministry of
Foreign Affairs financial sanctions coordinator, Andrej
Svetlicic, and urged Slovenia to support the U.S. initiative
to request that the UN 1267 Sanctions Committee add the four
Lashkar e-Tayyiba (LeT) operatives from the reftel to the
committee,s list of individuals and entities subject to UN
Security Council mandated sanctions. Svetlicic thanked
Emboff for bringing the pre-notification to his attention and
stated that the GOS would consider our request for support
seriously.
