1. On May 30, Emboff passed reftel points regarding the
Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear Terrorism June 16-18
meeting in Madrid to MFA Security Policy Division official
Andrej Slapnicar and requested information regarding
Slovenia's conference delegation. Slapnicar replied that MFA
Security Policy Division Director Stanislav Vidovic and
Security Policy Division Deputy Director Robert Basej will
both attend the conference. Slapnicar stated that because
Slovenia currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the
European Union (EU),Vidovic will deliver a statement on
behalf of the EU but does not intend to provide a Slovenian
national presentation. Emboff also provided the MFA with a
copy of the Government of Spain's invitation for Slovenia.
