Per reftel request, Pol-Econ officer notified MFA
International Affairs Deputy Pedro Monteiro of the U.S.
decision to revoke Iran's U-turn license agreement as a
measure to prevent halt terrorist financing. Monteiro
received the text of Stuart Levey's November 6 remarks, a
fact sheet on preventative measures against Iran, and the
related Financial Action Task Force statement, but offered no
substantive response.
