This is an action request for human rights verification required by the Leahy Amendment; see para 2. ¶2. The Embassy requests the Department's assistance in performing human rights vetting for the Kuwait Amiri Guard and the Kuwait Armed Forces 25th Commando Brigade. Brigadier Khaled Jassem Ahmed Mohammed Al-Amiri (DOB: October 8, 1953; Kuwait Passport #: 002313796) of the Amiri Guard; and Brigadier Ahmed Saad Abdelaziz Saad Al-Menaifi (DOB: September 1, 1952; Kuwait Passport #: 002396175) of the 25th Commando Brigade will be participating in a U.S. Special Operations Command / U.S. Central Command (SOCCENT) Joint Combined Education and Training (JCET) program in Jordan from April 20 - 30, 2008.
