In response to reftel points calling for Kuwaiti recognition
of Kosovo, MFA International Organizations Deputy Director
Dr. Hamad Bou Rahma told A/POLCOUNS on December 16 that the
GOK would "continue to align itself with the GCC," i.e., no
decision on recognition has been taken. Bou Rahma justified
fellow GCC member UAE's recognition of Kosovo by noting the
presence of Emirati troops there.
