ENTITIES UNDER E.O. 13382

(SBU) Poloff conveyed reftel demarche points related to U.S.
designation under E.O. 13382 of the Export Development Bank
of Iran and three other Iranian entities, to Mr. Shazyril
Zahiran, Principal Assistant Secretary in the Malaysian
Foreign Ministry's Disarmament and Non-Proliferation
Division, on October 29. Econoff also conveyed demarche
points on October 29 to contacts at the Financial
Intelligence Unit in Bank Negara, which routinely
disseminates the information to financial institutions
operating in Malaysia. No response to the demarche has been
received from either party as of COB November 3. Post will
continue to follow up.
