(U) Poloff conveyed reftel demarche points, seeking
Malaysia's support for the U.S. proposals on improving the
employment climate at the United Nations, to Nur Ayuni Zainal
Abudin, Assistant Secretary for the UN in the
Malaysian Foreign Ministry's Multilateral Political Division,
on December 16. Ayuni did not provide any
immediate feedback, but pledged to share U.S. views with
other Ministry officials including those at the UN. We will
report back any subsequent response.
