(U) CNDP spokesman Bertrand Bisimwa mass mailed a press statement as an attachment to an e-mail dated December 16, 2008 with his organization's reaction to the December 15 attack on an Italian NGO vehicle in CNDP-controlled territory (reftel). The statement also catalogues CNDP allegations of cooperation between FARDC, FDLR, PARECO and Mai Mai elements in the commission of extra judicial killings, rape and other acts of violence in North Kivu. The outcome is one death in the person of the late Baudouin NTAMENYA and one wounded, Mr Bosco CHIZA. The CNDP has managed to get hold of a person who was hiding there in connivance with the killers. He will be heard this morning in the presence of MONUC, and OCHA if possible, to clarify the circumstances of the killing. The CNDP presents its condolences to the families of victims, their employer the NGO AVSI, and to the entire humanitarian community. For 15 days, the macabre balance sheet of the government coalition shows several people killed, women raped or abused, vehicles hijacked and looted. Wednesday, November 26, 2008, around 1100 hours, eight family members of Mr. MAVALE, resident of KIWANDJA, including four women and four men, were atrociously massacred in the village of KITIMBO. They were intercepted by elements of the coalition while they were working in their fields.
