REF: STATE 123081
1. POLOFF delivered reftel demarche November 21 to Alice Kimpembe,
Head of the International Organizations Directorate in the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs.
2. Kimpembe stated that the GDRC favors a peaceful two-state
solution for Israel and Palestine. However, she cautioned that it
might be difficult for the GDRC to support the defeat of the three
resolutions reaffirming the existence and activities of the three
committees mentioned in reftel. Kimpembe said that she would bring
our request to the attention of the Foreign Minister's Office.
3. Kimpembe will travel to New York the week of November 24-28 to
take part in the upcoming UNGA debates and votes.
