1. Jamaica does not plan to participate in the Community of
Democracies (CD) meeting scheduled for September 26 on the margins
of the UN General Assembly, according to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT)'s Deputy Director for
International Organizations, Diedre Mills. Speaking privately with
PolOff on September 12, she said the week in question is
over-scheduled, so the Jamaican contingent will not be able to send
a representative.
2. In light of the information from Mills, Post will not forward
the details of reftel demarche to the MFAFT.
