On July 25th, post received the following diplomatic note, dated July 22nd, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT): (Begin text of MFAFT DIP NOTE 358/801/66) "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America and has the honor to inform that the Government of Jamaica has decided to appoint Mrs. Sandra Grant Griffiths as Consul General in Miami, with effect from August 18, 2008, in succession to Mr. Ricardo Allicock. The Ministry would appreciate the assistance of the Embassy in conveying the preceding information to the Department of State to facilitate the customary courtesies. The travel itinerary for the Consul General-designate with be communicated in due course.
