1. Buccaneer Eradication
--------------
Buccaneer and other land operations seized five hundred and sixty
six (566) kilograms of cured marijuana. Additionally, 26.99 hectares
of matured marijuana plants, 1.81 kilograms of seeds, and 40,300
units of seedlings were destroyed. During the month of November the
police arrested 554 locals and 14 foreigners for various criminal
activities.


2. Cocaine Seizure
--------------

Two British subjects who attempted to smuggle liquid cocaine was
arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport. This was the
result of collaborative work between the Jamaica Constabulary Force
and their British counterparts. They were both employed in the
airline industry in Britain.

4. Airport Activities
--------------
The Airport taskforce personnel have being reassigned to a location
in the airport terminal and the building originally designed for the
taskforce is being utilized by the Commissioner of police for law
enforcement operations.


5. Maritime Activities
--------------
The Jamaica Defence Force conducted 13 dive operations. Seven at
Jamalco, Rocky Point Clarendon and six at Port Rhodes, St Ann.
Neither drugs nor contraband was found.


6. Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team-JFAT
--------------
Henderson Joseph was extradited from Trinidad and Tobago to
Washington. He was wanted by the District of Columbia for Federal
tax fraud.

Narcotics Affairs Section Support
--------------
Close circuit television equipment was donated to the Jamaica
Constabulary Force. This equipment will be used to allow witnesses
the ability to identify suspects without exposure of identification
or intimidation at two sites across the island. Eventually, there
will be six locations throughout Jamaica. The equipment was
purchased at the cost of USD 119,175.00. This was a joint U.S. - UK
purchase. The UK furnished the software for the identification
parades, NAS purchased the CCTV and digital recording equipment.
