(U) Summary: On September 26, 2008 CDA signed six grant agreements totaling $40,000 for the Ambassador's Self Help Program for FY 2008. Post has fully obligated all of the Ambassador's Special Self-Help Program funds in FY 2008. ¶2. (U) Project(s) summary and status as follows: ¶A. Project Number: SHF-8-696-01 Project Name: Bakery Grantee: Rebero Orphan Center Beneficiaries: 72 U.S. Contribution: $7,231 Date Obligated: September 26, 2008 Description: Funds will be used to purchase a new dough mixer and kitchen supplies to expand the center's bakery. ¶B. Project Number: SHF-8-696-02 Project Name: Sewing workshop Grantee: Cooperative des Techniciens en Couture et Tricotage (CTCTG) Beneficiaries: 18 U.S. Contribution: $8,924 Date Obligated: September 26, 2008 Description: Funds will be used to buy new sewing machines for a sewing workshop cooperative located in Byumba North Rwanda. ¶C. Project Number: SHF-8-696-03 Project Name: Bicycle repair project Grantee: DUTI Cooperative Beneficiaries: 220 U.S. Contribution: $2,868 Date Obligated: September 26, 2008 Description: Funds will be used to set-up a training center for bicycle repair in Kayonza district eastern Rwanda. ¶D.
