1. (C) The GOS has approved the October visit of the USCG
assessment team, NISS liaison Col. Osman Muktar told Station
Chief September 21.
2. (C) Col. Muktar said the GOS would not provide approval
notification through MFA channels. Muktar requested
additional details about the assessment team's visit so that
GOS authorities can plan prepare for the visit. Post kindly
requests additional detailed information on the visit as soon
as possible.
