(C) According to Jerusalem Municipality advisor Elad Halevy, the Jerusalem Municipality executed five demolitions of parts of homes in Palestinian East Jerusalem on February ¶25. Halevy said that in all five cases the construction was done without permits. He added that the builders did not request permits before beginning construction, so the Municipality did not turn down requests for permits. Of the five, Halevy said only two were populated at the time of demolition. ¶2. (C) According to Municipal reports, the Municipality has demolished at least 18 structures in East Jerusalem in the first two months of 2008.
