¶1. (S) EconChief delivered reftel points and list of
organizations to Aziz Abu Dagga, chief of staff to PA Prime
Minister Salam Fayyad, on July 21. Abu Dagga expressed
appreciation for the information in advance of Treasury DAS
Glaser's upcoming visit and said that he would convey it
directly to the Prime Minister.
¶2. (S) Abu Dagga noted that a number of the organizations on
the list had been the targets of "aggressive" restructuring
efforts by PM Fayyad over the past year. PM Fayyad confirmed
to the Consul General on July 21 that he had received the
list and that he would be able to provide comments about the
organizations during DAS Glaser's visit.
